Quoted a guy $280 for a fridge seal swap, he pushed back hard, now I can't decide if I folded too fast
Guy in Fremont called about his fridge sweating on the freezer side, I looked it up and quoted $280 for the gasket plus labor, and he said his last guy did the same job for $150 cash two years back. I dropped it to $200 to keep the call, did the swap in under an hour, and now I'm sitting here wondering if I just trained him to haggle me down on the next one. Do you all hold your first number on gaskets or is folding a bit normal when the customer has a past price to throw at you?
