Spent 4 hours tracking down a leak on a Samsung dishwasher

Turned out to be a tiny crack in the drain hose right behind the kickplate. Has anyone else had those hoses fail like that?

Hearing "tracking down a leak" brings back memories of my old Whirlpool washer that used to leave a puddle every few cycles. I pulled that thing apart three times before I found the culprit. It wasn't a hose crack though, it was a loose clamp on the pump inlet that would vibrate loose during the spin cycle. Drove me nuts until I finally caught it happening while I watched it run. Have you checked if the hose might have been rubbing against something sharp under there?

Respectfully, I gotta disagree a bit. A loose clamp vibrating during the spin cycle is definitely a sneaky one, but most hose issues come from the hose itself being old or cracked. The clamp thing happens maybe once in a blue moon. I've fixed maybe a dozen washer leaks and only one was a clamp. The rest were hoses that were just worn out from constant water pressure. Also, rubbing against something sharp? Unless your washer is sitting on a pile of scrap metal, that's pretty rare. The clamp thing is a good thought though, just not super common in my experience.
