Old timer told me my 30 inch lanyard was too short for removals
He said I was gonna slip out and break my legs climbing with that thing. Switched to a 42 inch lanyard after he chewed me out and it feels way more stable when I'm leaning back. Anybody else get told to ditch the short lanyard for bigger trees?

Did you feel sketchy leaning back with the short one too? I used to think longer just meant more to get snagged, but after trying a 42 for a few big removals I get why the old guy pushed you.
