Spent $60 on a garlic press that's now a paperweight

Bought that fancy stainless steel garlic press at the kitchen supply store last month because my old one kept clogging, but it turns out the new one bends when you push down on a big clove, so now I'm back to smashing garlic with the flat of my knife and wondering if anyone's found one that actually holds up for more than a few weeks.
