A waitress at the Red Arrow Diner told me I was ordering pancakes wrong for 10 years

She said I always get them with butter and syrup on top but the trick is to ask for butter on the side and pour the syrup first so it doesn't slide off, anyone else get handed a pro tip like that from a local?

My buddy Mike tried it last Tuesday and he texted me at like midnight freaking out about it. He said it was way easier than he expected and the whole thing just clicked for him. I was honestly surprised because he usually hates trying new stuff like that. So yeah @rosek44, I'd say give it a shot when you get a chance, it's not as complicated as people make it seem.
