Rugged NH winter boots vs. city sneakers, 3 months of slush proved it
I moved to Concord last November and thought my waterproof sneakers would handle a New Hampshire winter. By January I was slipping on every iced-over sidewalk and my feet were soaked by noon. Broke down and bought a pair of insulated Bean boots for $140 and the difference is night and day. No more cold ankles, no more sliding around at the Market Basket parking lot. Anyone else learn the hard way that you can't cheap out on winter footwear here?
