That $900 heating oil bill last January made me switch to a pellet stove
We moved to the Lakes Region two years ago and our first winter was brutal. The old oil furnace in our farmhouse was eating money like crazy, and that one month hit $900 which just about broke us. My neighbor kept telling me about his pellet stove, so we finally bought one for $1,600 installed before this season. So far we've only used about 3 tons of pellets, which ran us around $750 total, and the house stays way warmer than the oil heat ever did. Anyone else in central NH made the switch and can tell me what they pay for pellets in a normal winter?
