The town website said our 'scenic overlook' is actually a drainage ditch, check yours too

Last week I was helping my cousin move to Littleton and we stopped at the so-called scenic overlook off Route 302. The town's welcome page had a photo of mountains and rolling hills, real pretty. Turned out the actual spot is a concrete ditch behind a gas station, with a view of a dumpster and some old tires. I drove 20 minutes out of our way for that. Then I looked at my own town's website in Hillsborough and found they list an old mill pond that's been dry since 2011. Anyone else ever trust an online description and end up somewhere ridiculous?
