My cousin from Boston moved to Manchester and told me to skip the studded snow tires, said all-weathers were fine for our winters. So I saved $600 and went with his suggestion in November. By the first real ice storm on Route 101 in late December, I was sliding sideways into a guardrail near Bedford. Cost me $1,300 in repairs and finally bought the studs anyway. Anyone else get burned by a transplant who thinks they know NH winters better than natives?
