inRant: That Monday morning where my panel saw decided to eat a $200 sheet of walnut
You definitely changed my mind on this one @diana_king, I always thought it was 40 but I just double-checked my own manual and you're totally right.

inI used to think all gravel was basically the same for a driveway base
Swapped to a fractured limestone blend on a job outside Denver a couple years back and it held up way better than anything else I had tried. The jagged edges lock together tight so it doesn't shift around when it thaws and freezes. Had a customer with a steep driveway too and it barely rutted after a heavy spring melt. Just made sure to put down a good geotextile fabric underneath first and it stayed solid.

inWatched a client's hair go from fried to healthy in 6 months and it changed how I recommend products
My March 2023 client did protein every week with zero issues because her hair was so overprocessed it needed the structure. @blair626 I get what you're saying about the brittle danger but honestly most people underuse protein. Her hair actually started holding curls again after we added it. The hot water thing is real though - once she dropped to lukewarm her color stopped bleeding everywhere. Some hair types just need more protein than others, that's the part people miss.

inMy laptop hinge snapped on Tuesday and I was sure I'd need a pro, but a $15 part and a YouTube video saved me.
Is it the fixing itself or the feeling of sticking it to planned obsolescence that's more satisfying lol?

inOverheard a guy at the supply house talking about root flare excavation
Ain't that the truth though? Seems like half the problems people have with their yards come from builders burying things two feet deeper than they ought to be.
