Color fade in my dark laundry stopped after I flipped clothes inside out
I kept seeing my black shirts turn gray way too fast. I assumed it was just how washing works, but it bugged me. Someone told me to try washing them inside out. Now I turn all my dark stuff inside out before tossing it in the machine. My favorite black jeans look new after many washes. This small change really saved my clothes. Do you have other laundry tips that work?

Cold water washes really saved my dark jeans from fading too fast. I used to wash everything on warm, but my blacks would look washed out after just a few cycles. Switching to cold water kept the colors deep and rich, almost like new. Why do so many detergents even recommend hot water for colors? It seems counterproductive when cold works better for preservation. Giving delicate cycles a try for certain fabrics can also prevent wear and tear.

Oh yeah, I read that a little white vinegar in the wash can help lock in dark colors too.

Totally agree with @faith_owens8 on cold water for darks. Mixing in some vinegar during the rinse has been a game changer for my black tees. It helps set the color and keeps them from looking washed out. Cold washes avoid heat damage, and vinegar tackles any leftover soap. My dark stuff lasts ages now with this method.
