Just realized my billing software was double charging for 11 months

I run a small cleaning service in Tucson and noticed my monthly profit numbers looked off compared to the actual bank deposits. After 3 hours of digging through old invoices I found the software added a $15 fee to every single recurring client even though I never set that up. I switched to a simple spreadsheet and suddenly the numbers match up. My question is, do you trust your business software completely or do you verify the math yourself every month?
