Last Tuesday was the worst shift of my entire career as a paramedic

We got back to back cardiac arrests within 20 minutes of each other, and the second one was a 6 year old kid who didn't make it. How do you guys shake off a day like that without letting it eat you up inside?

i read that writing down three good things that happened can help rewire your brain after trauma.

My therapist had me do this for 30 days straight after some stuff that happened. Its honestly wild how it works, I started noticing small wins I would have totally missed before. The first week felt kinda fake but by week three I was actually looking forward to writing them down.
