Question about the $19 "energy saver" plug I laughed at, now my meter says I was wrong
Bought it as a joke at a flea market in Erie two years ago and finally checked my electric bill against last winter, it dropped about $14 a month. Anyone else have a cheap gadget actually hold up, or did I just get lucky with one weird outlet?
What kind of load do you have plugged into that thing, because those cheap savers mostly just cut phantom draw from stuff sitting idle? If it dropped your bill by $14 a month, that means you had a lot of stuff sucking power while turned off. Did the drop stay steady through the whole winter or did it fade after a couple months?
