Warning: the rental car guy in Phoenix scared me straight about checking my own tire pressure
Was at a rental counter at Sky Harbor in Phoenix a while back and the guy behind the desk made me sign a paper saying the tires were fine before I even saw the car. Got onto I-10 near Buckeye and the front left felt mushy, so I pulled into a Love's and it was down to 21 psi. Now I walk around and kick every tire before I drive off a lot, rental or not. Do you guys actually check pressure on rentals or just trust the desk?
Man, my buddy rented a car in Tucson and found a screw in the tire two hours into his drive to Flagstaff. He checks now too, every single time before he pulls out.
