Am I the only one who spent three whole nights trying to get rid of a weird purple line in my star photos?

It was this thin purple streak on every single long exposure shot of Orion I took from my backyard in Tucson. I thought my camera sensor was broken. I cleaned the lens, checked the filter, even updated the firmware. Turns out it was a tiny reflection from a red LED on a power bank I had sitting next to the tripod. Blocked it with some black tape and it was gone instantly. Anyone else ever get tricked by a stray light source you didn't even think about?

Wait, a power bank LED? That's so small, I would have never guessed that.

Man, my neighbor's wifi router. Blue LED. Ruined a whole series of the Pleiades. Took me a week to figure it out because the thing was inside his house, shining through a window. Light pollution you don't even see with your eyes.

Read about a streetlight causing green streaks once.
