Contractor pushed gutter guards hard, glad I said no

Had a guy from a big company in Marietta quote me $3,400 for gutter guards last spring. He said I'd never clean gutters again and it would protect my foundation. I turned him down and just paid $150 to have my gutters cleaned instead. Six months later I saw his work on a neighbor's house and the guards were already sagging, anyone else have these fail on them?
