Found out my Cumming HOA has a 400 sq ft rule for sheds, and mine is 412
Got the letter 3 days ago after a neighbor complained, and now I have to shrink it or pay $25 a month until it's fixed. I measured twice before building it too, so I have no idea how I was 12 sq ft over. Anyone in Forsyth County dealt with a variance request for this kind of thing?
Measured twice and still ended up 12 over? That math ain't mathing unless the county counts the roof overhang or something weird like that. Call the planning office and ask exactly how they measure it before you start cutting anything, because if they're counting the eaves you might only be a couple inches off, not 12 sq ft.
