Visited the Cyberpunk 2077 immersive exhibit in Tokyo last month and was blown away by something weird

I went to this small anime-related pop-up in Shibuya that had a whole section dedicated to the anime adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077. What caught me off guard was how many people were just standing there watching the background NPCs loop on the screens instead of looking at the actual art displays. Like I counted maybe 15 people glued to a single monitor showing a bike moving in a circle. Idk if it's the animation quality or just people zoning out but it felt like everyone was more into the small details than the big pieces. Has anyone else noticed this at anime exhibits where the crowd focuses on weird random stuff instead of the main attractions?

Had a week in June where every post hole hit rock, worst luck I've had in 10 years

Three days straight I was digging for a 200 foot privacy fence in Austin and every single hole hit limestone at 18 inches, had to rent a jackhammer for two of them. My crew and I were so behind we worked Saturday just to catch up, but somehow the customer was cool about it and even bought us lunch. Has anyone else had a job where the ground just decided to fight you like that or am I the only one cursed with bad dirt?

PSA: My neighbor told me to toss my bubble wrap when moving dishes

I used to wrap every single plate and bowl in bubble wrap for moves, but my neighbor who moves every 3 years for work said to use newsprint or packing paper instead. She said bubble wrap actually makes dishes slide around inside the box and crack more often. Tried it for my last move from Austin to Dallas last month and not a single thing broke. Anyone else find a weird moving hack that actually works?

Had a client cry happy tears yesterday and it totally made my week

I've been doing hair for about 2 years now and mostly get the usual stuff - trims, color touch ups, nothing wild. But yesterday this older lady came in super nervous, said she hadn't been to a salon since 2019 because her last stylist messed up her perm badly. She just wanted a basic cut and style. I took my time, talked through everything before I touched her hair, and when I spun her chair around to see the mirror she started crying. Said she felt like herself again. My manager saw and gave me a fist bump lol. Has anyone else had a moment like that where you just felt like yeah this is why I do this?

Why I picked the Continental Divide Trail over the PCT for my first long hike

Everyone in backpacking forums told me I was crazy to start with the CDT in New Mexico last year instead of the more popular PCT. But I wanted quieter trails and cheaper permits even if it meant tougher navigation. Has anyone else gone with an unpopular route and wound up happier for it?

Tried a 3D printed shell swap on my Switch and it warped within a week

I got this cool translucent purple shell off Etsy for 18 bucks. Looked amazing when I put it on, like a retro Game Boy. But after playing Zelda for maybe 6 hours total the plastic started bending near the vents. The heat from the dock just softened it up. Now I'm back to the original black shell and down 18 bucks. Anybody got tips on finding aftermarket shells that actually handle heat?

3 years of repairing washing machines and I still can't fix Samsung's drain pump issue

Last month I spent 2 hours at a house in Akron pulling apart a Samsung washer only to find the same damn drain pump clog that I've seen a dozen times before. Anyone else swear differently every time they see that model number pop up on the dispatch sheet?

I swore by cold butter for pie crust until my last one was tough

Now I use room temp butter and handle it less for a flakier crust.

Shoutout to the $45 resume review I almost skipped

It's great that it worked out for you, but I gotta say I'm a little skeptical about paying for it... I think a lot of those places just tell you generic stuff you could find in a youtube video for free. Like, sure, maybe your old format was bad, but you probably could have asked a friend in a different field or looked up a few modern examples online and saved the 45 bucks. I've seen too many people get talked into paying for extras like "keyword optimization" that just sounds like a scam to me. Not saying it's worthless for everyone, but I'd try the free route first before pulling out your wallet.
