Update: chose the gas dryer over heat pump, now I get it
When our old dryer died last month, I spent a whole weekend going back and forth between a gas model and a heat pump one. The heat pump was cheaper to run on paper, but our laundry room in Marietta has no outside vent access, and the install guy said the gas line was already right there. I picked the gas one, paid $1,150 installed, and after 3 weeks of heavy kid laundry, the dry times are way shorter than the electric unit we had before. Anyone else make this switch and notice their utility bill actually dropped?
