Can we talk about how I stopped using filler on every little dent and started pulling them instead
For years I was slapping filler on anything smaller than a quarter and calling it done. Then last spring a guy brought back a Civic I did 8 months earlier and the filler had shrunk and cracked right along the door edge. He wasn't mad, just asked why I didn't just pull it since the metal was still straight underneath. I picked up a stud welder and a slide hammer after that and now I pull anything I can reach instead of burying it. My comebacks basically went to zero and the jobs actually take less time once you get the rhythm. Anybody else make that switch, or am I the last guy still learning this?
