Learned the hard way why you never skip the primer on galvanized steel
A fender I patched up last November outside a shop in Akron peeled right off by February, and the customer came back furious, so now I always etch prime galvanized parts first, has anyone else had that same failure with aluminum panels too?
Used to think primer was just extra work nobody would notice, but watching that fender peel off changed my whole outlook on it. Haven't had the same issue with aluminum yet, but I always scuff and prime it now just to be safe.
