Green car fixes are draining my shop's time and patience
I support cleaner vehicles, but working on them is a real hassle. Just yesterday, a Chevy Volt needed a battery check, and we wasted hours figuring out the system. The special gear for these jobs is too pricey for small shops like mine. Customers get upset when repairs take forever, but we're not magicians. It's like the push for green tech forgot about the people fixing it. We end up losing money on these calls, which isn't fair. Something has to give or we'll all be out of work.

Wait, is it actually singing or is it the pedestrian warning sound? That low speed hum can sound weird. @riley363, it's not a cool feature, it's a safety thing for quiet electric cars. The sound is just a basic hum, not real music. Some people hack it to play other sounds, but that's not standard. Your neighbor might have done that mod, which is kind of funny but also maybe illegal.
