Just passed 10,000 torque specs logged, that number scared me
Honestly I keep a notebook of every bolt I torque down on customer cars, mostly because I had one comeback early in my career. Last Friday I hit 10,000 entries, which means 10,000 chances to mess up and ruin someone's engine or worse. Tbh that milestone made me realize how easy it is to get lazy on the 3,000th one when you've done 9,999 right. Anyone else track that kind of number or am I just a weirdo with too many spiral notebooks?
Did you ever think about scanning those notebooks so you have a searchable record if a car comes back years later? Paper is great until you need to prove what you did on one specific job.
