The $1,200 engine claim that flipped my warranty stance

Always thought extended warranties were a total scam until my 2018 Tucson's transmission started slipping at 61,000 miles last March. The dealership quoted me $3,400 for a rebuild, but my old warranty company actually covered it after I fought them for three weeks over a maintenance records clause. Has anyone else had a claim that made them rethink skipping the coverage?
