Hit exactly 1,000 wire terminations on a single C-130 harness last week
I was working on this avionics harness for a C-130 cargo bay upgrade, and I kept track of every pin and splice out of curiosity. By Friday afternoon, I counted 1,000 terminations on that one harness alone. That number stunned me because I usually lose count after a few hundred on smaller jobs. Has anyone else ever tracked their numbers like that on a big project and got surprised by the total?

My highest count was "only" 847 on a KC-135 refueling panel harness, and I was SO proud of myself until I read your number and realized im basically a toddler with a soldering iron by comparison. I literally had to double check my tally marks because I thought I forgot how to count to ten. Now I'm just grateful my foreman doesn't ask for final counts or I'd have to admit I spent three days doing nothing but crimping. Your 1,000 sounds like a personal hell I'd volunteer for just to prove I could do it.
