PSA: My whole approach to coax pin crimping was backwards for a year
I only figured it out when a new guy in Anchorage asked why my crimps looked 'upside down' compared to the manual. Anyone else have a simple task they were overcomplicating?

Remember when I used to cut zip ties with side cutters and then spend five minutes picking the little plastic tab out of the jaws? Did that for months before someone just showed me you can flick it off with your thumb. Felt like a genius for all the wrong reasons lol.

Oh man, that's a classic! @thomascooper's story makes me feel a little better about my own dumb moments. Sometimes the easy way is just too obvious to see!

My first year as an apprentice, I spent probably 20 hours total fighting with wire loom tubing. I was trying to thread whole harnesses through it, getting so frustrated. My journeyman finally walked over, sliced the loom open lengthwise with a razor, wrapped it around the wires, and taped it shut. I felt like the biggest idiot on the planet. It’s crazy how you can stare right at the simple method and never see it. That Anchorage guy did you a solid.
