Showerthought: chasing a King Air flap issue with a multimeter beats a wiggle test every time
Last week I spent about 4 hours on a Beechcraft King Air 200 with a flap asymmetry light that kept coming and going on the ground. I started with the usual wiggle test on the harness and got nothing, then pulled out my Fluke 87V and rang out the position pot wiring pin by pin, and found a terminal on the P2 connector that read 0.3 ohms higher than the rest. Swapped the pin, cleaned the connector, and it has been clean through 3 flights since. Has anyone else had better luck tracking intermittent faults with a meter instead of just shaking wires?
