Turns out shielding continuity is a bigger deal than I thought

Been fighting an intermittent glitch on a CRJ for three days, swapped boxes, checked pins, the whole drill. Then an old tech in the hangar told me to check the backshell on that P9 connector. Measured it and there was 4 ohms across the braid, that should be near zero. I never gave that much thought before, always focused on the signal wires. Found a corroded ferrule and replaced it, problem gone. How do you guys test shield bonds on installs, or is it just something you ignore until it bites you?
