Vent: Overheard a line tech say he bypassed a circuit breaker to get a plane out faster
Was grabbing coffee near the hangar at KBED and heard a guy bragging he jumped a C/B on a King Air because the MEL came later. Has anyone else run into this kind of shortcut thinking from the young guys?

Woah, hold up. That's not a "shortcut," that's a straight up safety violation. Jumping a circuit breaker is a huge no-no for a reason. If that breaker pops, it's telling you something is wrong, like a wire shorting or a component failing. Bypassing it means that problem can cause a fire or worse, a total electrical failure in flight. The MEL isn't a suggestion to bypass rules, it's a system to handle problems safely. That guy needs to get his head on straight before he kills somebody.
