Burned $180 on a trail app for the Zion Narrows and the offline maps never loaded once
I paid for the year of a GPS app before my trip last spring, mostly because the guy at the outfitter in Springdale said everyone uses it out there. Got to the water and it couldn't grab a signal the whole 16 miles, so I just used the paper map I printed at the hotel for free. Anyone got a map or app that really holds a fix when there's no service, or am I just packing paper from now on?
