Took me 45 minutes to figure out how to open a bear canister in the Trinity Alps lol
My friend just said 'push the button and turn' but I was convinced it was broken. Anyone else have a simple trail task that turned into a whole ordeal?

Oh man, the "push the button and turn" thing is real. I read a whole forum thread once where people were arguing about the exact same bear canister model. Half the comments were folks saying they nearly gave up and slept with their food bag, and the other half were insisting it was easy. Turns out you really have to slam that button down hard while you twist, it's not a gentle press. I felt better knowing it wasn't just me. Simple tasks when you're tired just become impossible.

My buddy Jake spent like 20 minutes wrestling with his BV500 in the dark at Rae Lakes. He was so mad he almost threw the whole thing off a cliff. Finally figured out you need to press the button with your whole palm, not just a finger. He said it felt like a secret handshake he wasn't told about.
