Warning: my 6 year old Osprey hip belt buckle snapped 9 miles into the Pecos Wilderness and a shoelace got me out
Plastic just let go at a stream crossing last Saturday, so I tied the belt to the strap loop with a lace from my camp shoe and hiked the last 9 miles lopsided. Anyone carry a spare buckle on thru hikes, or do you just risk it?
