Just noticed most people are using the wrong app for moon phase tracking

I was chatting with a neighbor last week who's been frustrated because their stargazing app kept showing the wrong moonrise time. I realized they were using a generic weather app instead of one built for astronomy like SkySafari or Stellarium. The difference is huge - those dedicated apps actually factor in your exact latitude and tree coverage. Anyone else find their accuracy improved after switching to a proper stargazing app?

Got a buddy who used a weather app for months to track the moon for his fishing trips. He kept showing up an hour early because the times were off. After he switched to Stellarium he finally started catching the high tide right and never went back to the other app.

Grab a free app like Stellarium and aim your phone at the sky, it uses your exact GPS to show the right moon phase and position. I switched from a generic weather app and suddenly my moonrise times matched what I actually saw outside. Made a huge difference for planning night hikes around here.
