Why does nobody tell you a red flashlight actually matters
Figured a red headlamp was just a gimmick for astronomy nerds, but after a buddy lent me his on a clear night out at Lake Houston last month, my eyes stayed dark-adapted the whole time and I could actually see the Andromeda galaxy smudge without waiting 20 minutes to readjust. Now my white light sits in the truck and it feels dumb I waited this long. Any of you running a cheap red light or did you spring for one of the nicer ones?
