Paid rent through my bank's Zelle on the 1st and the money just vanished from my account without landing in his. Called my bank and they blamed his bank, called his bank and they said they never got the transfer, and this went on for 5 days with a late fee hanging over my head. Finally got it sorted when I filed a complaint with the CFPB and the money showed up 2 days later. So what's the move here, should I just go back to paper checks or is there a payment app that doesn't pull this nonsense?
