A guy in my chair asked why I always angle the mirror at the same spot, and it fixed my fades
I had a regular named Marcus in my chair back in March, and while I was doing his taper he asked why I kept tilting the hand mirror to the left side of his head. I told him that is just where I always hold it, and he said the shop across town shows him both sides at eye level before he leaves. That stuck with me all day, so I tried it the next week. I started checking every client in the mirror at eye level on both sides before I take the cape off, and I caught 3 uneven necklines in the first two days alone. Now it is just part of how I finish every cut, one mirror pass left, one right, then a quick look at the back with the second mirror. Any of you have a client comment that ended up changing your whole routine like that?
