Client told me my fades were too high, took me 6 weeks to fix my angle

A guy at the shop in Columbus said I was starting my blend too high on the sides, so I dropped my guard line and changed how I hold the clippers. Took about 40 cuts before it felt natural, but now the shape holds better and he books every 2 weeks. Anyone else get feedback that made them rebuild their whole technique?
