Clipper died halfway through a fade on Saturday, finished the cut with scissors and a comb
I was on the last kid of the day at my shop in Reno when my 5 year old clipper just gave out mid fade, so I grabbed my shears and blended the whole thing by hand. His dad said it looked better than the clippers usually do, but I don't want to make that my plan B. Anybody keep a trusted backup pair in the drawer, or do you just push through with scissors?
Mine crapped out during a buzz cut last year and I finished him up with the trimmer and a comb, took way longer than it should have. Now I keep a cheap second pair in the drawer just so I'm never stuck like that again, even if the backup isn't anything fancy. Pushing through with scissors works in a pinch but it's no way to run a whole day.
