My clippers died mid-fade on a paying customer today

I was about 20 minutes into a skin fade on this guy Mike from down the street when my Andis Master just STOPS spinning. No warning, no weird noise, just dead. I had to finish the rest with my old corded backup while he sat there looking at me like I was an amateur. Anyone else ever had their main clippers crap out at the worst possible moment?

Respectfully, a real pro always has a backup ready to go.

I really feel for you on this one. There's nothing worse than being in a spot where you need a backup and you just don't have one handy. I remember once I was helping a friend set up a small event and our main speaker died five minutes before people showed up. We scrambled but had nothing, and it was such a sinking feeling. It makes you realize how much a little prep work can save the day. You're absolutely right that having something ready to go is just smart, even if it feels like overkill.
