Ugh, why do they always package junk like it's some big invention? I bought a "laser-guided" nail trimmer that was just a cheap clipper with a tiny red dot sticker. Total waste of money.

Saw a whole article about how companies slap "smart" or "laser" on basic stuff to charge more.

Actually, I feel like "smart" is the bigger offender these days. "Laser" at least points to a specific tech, even if it's faked. But "smart" can mean anything from wifi to a basic timer. It's just a blank check for a price hike on a regular item.
