Shoutout to the $4 bread maker that almost burned my kitchen down
Found a Breadman machine at a church sale in Beaverton for $4 and thought I hit the jackpot. Got it home, dumped in flour and yeast, and walked away for 20 minutes. Came back to smoke pouring out of the lid and a burnt smell that stuck in my curtains for a week. The heating coil was shorted and the thing hit 400 degrees on the inside. So yeah, skip the bread makers unless you can plug them in and watch them first.
