Stop using cable cutters on brake housing, use a file instead
Used to snip housing with my Park Tool cutters for years, but after wrecking a set on some cheap Shimano housing last March, I switched to a flat file and hacksaw. The cut is way cleaner, no more crushed outer strands, and it saves me 10 minutes per build at the shop. Anyone else ditch their cutters after ruining a good pair or got a better trick for clean cuts?
