The 47 cent pen incident made me stop being a coupon hoarder

Last week I dug through my purse at checkout and held up a whole line over a coupon that saved me 47 cents. The cashier just looked at me and said "ma'am, this expired Tuesday." I turned around and saw 6 people staring at their phones pretending not to notice. That moment hit different. All those binder sleeves and Sunday newspaper cuts, for what? My time is worth more than that. Has anyone else had a tiny fail that made you quit a whole hobby?
