Thought I was a pro at loading trucks until I crushed my own couch
Used to just toss furniture in with zero planning, figured it was faster. Then I wedged a 300 lb dresser sideways and pancaked my own couch so bad the frame snapped in half. Anyone else learn the hard way that a little strategy saves your stuff?

Actually, the REAL danger is what happens when the load shifts while you're driving. Had a refrigerator tip over going around a corner once and it came RIGHT through the bulkhead into the cab - missed my head by inches.

Seven years of moving my own stuff taught me that every single shortcut I thought was saving time actually cost me double later (including that time I broke a lamp by stuffing it in sideways).
