Finally got through The Americans after three failed starts

I kept quitting around episode 4 of season 1 for like two years. Something about the pacing just threw me off. Then last month during a rain storm that knocked my power out for six hours, I had nothing else to do but watch on my laptop battery. By episode 8 I was HOOKED and burned through all six seasons in 18 days. Anyone else struggle to get into a show at first but then it ends up being one of your all time favorites?

Oh man, I totally get that. I was the same way with Breaking Bad actually, and @maryh96 I swear I was ready to post the same thing after two episodes and never look back. But then my buddy made me stick with it and by season 2 I was staying up way too late on work nights to finish just one more episode.

Honestly I gave up after two episodes and never looked back, life's too short for boring TV.
