Just binged a 90s show I ignored for years and actually loved it

I finally gave The X-Files a real shot last week after my coworker kept bugging me about it for months. Ended up watching 12 episodes in 3 days because the Monster of the Week episodes are way more fun than I expected. Anyone else sleep on a classic show forever and then get totally hooked?

Monster of the Week" is the best part, but it's actually "Monster of the Week" not "Monster of the Week.

Ugh, I totally get what you mean @patriciacarr. The monster of the week episodes were always the reason I kept coming back too, even if the spelling drives you up a wall. @the_henry, that bug episode you mentioned is one of the ones that stuck with me, the whole crawling into people's mouths thing was just not okay. I think my favorite monster of the week was that weird one with the guy who could stretch his whole body, it was so creepy but also kind of funny at the same time. It's wild how those standalone stories can feel more memorable than the big alien plot sometimes.

same thing happened to me but with Twin Peaks. I kept hearing about it for years and finally watched it last month. that show is so weird, but I couldn't stop. @patriciacarr is right about the Monster of the Week thing though, even if they spelled it like a whole sentence. I remember one episode had a mutant bug that crawled into people's mouths, and I was genuinely creeped out. did you have a favorite episode from X-Files yet?
