Watched 3 seasons of The Bear in a week and I think the kitchen chaos scenes are way overrated
Everyone hypes the screaming and the tickets piling up but after binging 3 seasons last week I fast forwarded through half of it because the quiet scenes at the family table in Cicero hit way harder than another shot of someone yelling 'corner' in a walk in.
Honestly I did the same thing when I binged it last month and I started skipping the loud kitchen stuff by season two. The scenes that got me were the ones where Carmy and Richie just sit in the car or the mom's dinner table meltdown in Fishes, that whole episode felt real in a way the ticket printer never did. Once you notice the yelling is kind of the same beat over and over, it stops hitting and just becomes background noise. The quiet stuff works because you have to actually pay attention to what people aren't saying. So yeah, fast forwarding through the chaos is not a you problem, it's just the show leaning on one trick too hard.
