Found out our game group's 8-year winning streak was a fluke
I was digging through old score sheets from my Tuesday night board game crew and noticed we've been playing Catan wrong for almost a decade - we thought the robber only moved on a 7 roll, but the rules say it also moves when someone plays a knight card. That explains why Dave won 42 out of 50 games in that stretch. Has anyone else discovered a rule mistake that totally shifted your group's stats?

Did Dave know about the knight card rule the whole time?

Did anyone else get the sense he was just waiting for the perfect moment to spring that on everyone? I swear, I had the exact same thing happen in my D&D group where a buddy kept a house rule secret for months just to pull it out at the worst possible time. It’s honestly kind of brilliant if you think about it, but also super frustrating when you’re the one getting caught off guard.
