My FLGS owner told me to stop buying games and just play the ones I have, and it stung a bit
I was at my local shop in Portland last week and the owner, Dave, saw me walk in with a list of 5 new titles I wanted to special order. He looked at my bag of unplayed games I'd brought to try and said, "you've bought 12 games here in 3 months, when are you actually going to play them?" It hit different because he wasn't being mean, he was just pointing out that my shelf of shame is getting out of hand. I've since set a rule for myself: no new games until I've played everything on that shelf at least twice. Has anyone else had a game store employee call them out like that, and did it actually change your buying habits?
